Uğur Akkuş had announced on November 8 that he had filed for divorce from his wife, Ebru Şallı. Akkuş explained on his social media account why he was separating from Ebru Şallı, to whom he has been married for 5 years.

"I HAVE FILED FOR DIVORCE"

Sharing the divorce petition, Akkuş included the following statements:

"Today, I applied to the Beykoz 1st Family Court to divorce my wife, Ebru Şallı, with whom I have been together for 7 years, whom I married with great love and affection, and for whom I have put in a lot of effort, and I have filed for divorce through my lawyer. My close circle, my family who loves me, and everyone who knows me will write, draw, and talk about the reason why I want to divorce. Since I know this, I wanted to write it here."

"EVERYTHING WAS ABOUT MONEY AND MATERIALISM"

Akkuş continued his words by saying, "The only reason for filing for divorce and my desire to divorce is that I am now 'unhappy'. I thought this relationship was a marriage of love and affection, but it turns out everything was about money and materialism! I realized this very late and with difficulty. I decided to divorce because I have decided to live a happy and peaceful life from now on."

On the same day, Ebru Şallı made a statement on her social media account regarding the divorce decision: "We have decided to end our 4-year marriage with Mr. Uğur. I gave my divorce power of attorney to my lawyers 8 months ago. Therefore, our process was already ongoing. Out of respect for the marital union, I only wanted to inform you to confirm the divorce. It is a private matter for both parties. I ask for your understanding."

THEY WILL GIVE IT ANOTHER CHANCE

The famous couple's divorce hearing was set to take place today. Uğur Akkuş announced that they have decided to give their marriage to Şallı another chance.

"I HAVE WITHDRAWN THE LAWSUIT"

In his statement, Akkuş said: "I have withdrawn the divorce lawsuit I filed today at the Beykoz 1st Family Court. We have decided to give our marriage and our relationship another chance. Best wishes."

HE HAD SPOKEN ABOUT THE ISSUE OF ALIMONY

When asked about the issue of alimony in recent days, Ebru Şallı had stated, "There is no such thing. There is no such demand."

Ebru Şallı had spoken about the divorce decision for the first time at an event she attended. Şallı had said, "Everyone can get married or divorced. Everything is for people. Mr. Uğur and I are in such a process. That's why I will say beautiful things. I will not say anything bad."

"HE WAS ANGRY AND SAID IT"

When asked what she thought about Akkuş's statements that "It turns out everything was about money and materialism," Şallı said, "Such a thing cannot be the case between us. He was angry and said it, that's Uğur for you!"

Stating that "There is no fight or noise between us," Şallı said regarding joint assets, "We do not have any joint purchases together. There is no such thing at all."
