Comedian Gökhan Ünver, who reached a wide audience with the content he publishes on social media and has recently been performing stand-up shows, continues to be the focus of criticism for failing to make any comments regarding the operations, detentions, and arrests targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), despite his large reach.

Ünver has lost approximately 300 thousand followers on Instagram recently and has closed his X account.

Ünver also mocked those criticizing him in a video.

In a video he shared on his Instagram account, Gökhan Ünver placed images of boycott messages sent about him in the background and captioned the video, "My mental state while thinking about whether or not to post a 'Happy Holidays' story."

Having lost thousands of followers due to the boycott, Ünver continues to maintain his silence.

Following the reactions, Emre Kınay, the owner of Duru Tiyatro, also clarified the situation by saying, 'Our stance is clear.'

Finally, a notable move came from Avcılar Municipality.

A user wrote under the municipality's post announcing its events, "Why is there no post about Ekrem İmamoğlu? Cancel Gökhan Ünver's show too! We don't want AKP supporters in our district."

Following this, Avcılar Municipality announced that it had cancelled Gökhan Ünver's event.
