ISTANBUL MAY 19 EVENT PROGRAM 2025
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) will celebrate this year's May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day with the theme "We Have Youth."
As part of the celebrations, a total of 88 youth groups, consisting of 54 university theater troupes, 24 high school and university music bands, 7 chamber music ensembles, and 3 youth orchestras, along with thousands of young people, will be guests of the IMM on May 19.
The events that the IMM will organize in squares, parks, and cultural centers will invite all Istanbulites to join in the holiday enthusiasm, together with its units, subsidiaries, and affiliated organizations.

YOUNG DIRECTORS AT BEYOĞLU CINEMA
In its May program, Beyoğlu Cinema is dedicating significant space to youth-oriented events and youth-themed film selections, specifically for the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
As part of the events, the "They Will Take Root" selection focusing on young short film directors, the "Nice to Meet You" selection introducing directors who have shot their first feature film, and the "Lives Like a Film" selection telling the stories of young people who inspire society will meet with cinema lovers.

The Mustafa Kemal March, which will start from Dolmabahçe at 18:00 on Monday, May 19, will end at Beşiktaş Square. Following the march, the IMM City Orchestra and the beloved Turkish rock band Redd will take the stage to crown the youth enthusiasm with music.

On Monday, May 19, the group Pera will meet their fans at the Çekmeköy Municipality Building City Park at 21:00.
In Bakırköy, parks and streets will be filled with the energy of youth for three days as part of the May 19 Youth Festival, which will be held between May 17-18-19.
DJ performances, dance shows, basketball, football, and tennis tournaments, as well as folk dances, will add color to this festival.
Additionally, the Beşiktaş, Kadıköy, and Sarıyer Municipalities will also bring the holiday enthusiasm to the streets with events and DJ performances specifically for young people.
