A Youth Camp Breeze Will Blow in Özdere

The Özdere 100th Anniversary Youth and Sports Campus in the Menderes district will host a youth camp between May 16-18. Young people who will camp by setting up tents will experience three full days filled with sports tournaments, beach activities, concerts, and workshops.

Young Designers on Stage in Foça, Seferihisar, Karaburun, and Çeşme

As part of the event series titled “Designers in Izmir,” the districts of Foça, Seferihisar, Karaburun, and Çeşme will host the innovative ideas of young designers between May 16-18. In these meetings where public spaces will be reshaped, creative solutions to local problems will be sought from the perspective of young people.

Youth Festival and Hackathon Excitement in Bornova

The Bornova Youth Campus will offer young people an unforgettable experience on May 17 with workshops, competitions, and exciting adventure courses. Additionally, the EESTEC Hackathon event, to be organized in partnership with the DEU student community between May 23-25, will provide technology-enthusiast youth with the opportunity to develop projects in touch with nature.

Theater Enjoyment at Kültürpark: “Deli Bayramı” to be Performed

On the evening of May 18, the Kültürpark Youth Theater will bring together young people interested in theater with the popular work by Turgut Özakman, “Deli Bayramı,” to be performed by the Young Izmir Theater Troupe.

Beach Handball Festival in Balçova

On May 21, the Balçova İnciraltı Sports Facilities will open its doors to the Atatürk Youth Beach Handball Festival. In the organization, which will take place with the support of the Turkish Handball Federation, many school teams from middle school to university will compete.

Meeting of Champion Athletes

Izmir’s successful athletes will be awarded at a special ceremony to be held at the Celal Atik Sports Hall on May 21. Young athletes who have achieved significant success in team and individual fields will take their places on stage to receive their trophies and medals.

Youth in Bornova Will Both Produce and Rest

The Bornova Youth Campus will make a difference in productivity and technology as well as entertainment. At the EESTEC Hackathon event, young people will come together in an environment in touch with nature to develop innovative technology projects.

Nature Cleanup at Aşık Veysel Recreation Area

On May 24, the Bornova Aşık Veysel Youth Center will bring nature enthusiasts together with the “Youth Breathes into Nature” event. Environmental awareness will be raised through the environmental cleanup work to be carried out with the participation of non-governmental organizations, nature associations, and citizens.

Nature Walk in Urla: Ancient Roads Come Alive with Youth

Urla Altınköy will bring young people together with nature and history on May 24 with the “Ephesus Mimas Culture Route” event. The walk, organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, will offer a historical journey opportunity on the route extending from the ancient period to the present day.

WHERE WILL THE FREE MAY 19, 2025 IZMIR CONCERTS BE HELD, WHICH ARTISTS WILL TAKE THE STAGE?

Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Cemil Tugay shared the concert program that will take place as part of the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.

Tugay announced that the famous rock band Duman will take the stage following the CHP rally to be held on May 19.

Accordingly, Duman will meet with their fans at Gündoğdu Square at 21.30 on Monday, May 19.
