With the start of the new year, while price updates are being made in many sectors, an increased price tariff has also been determined for beauty salons. Istanbul Beauty Specialists and Beauty Salon Operators Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen President Ayşe Aydın Kurtönal stated that the price hikes were inevitable.
Kurtönal stated that prices in beauty salons have risen by 60 percent due to increases in minimum wage, rent, and operating costs.
Kurtönal said the following:
"A single tariff is applied in beauty salons. Establishment costs are quite high. An area smaller than 70-80 square meters is not enough to open a salon. The increase in rents and the rise in equipment prices have made the hikes mandatory."
2025 UPDATED BEAUTY SALON PRICE LIST
As of the new year, the prices to be applied in beauty salons have been determined as follows:
Classic skin care – 2,175 TL
Solarium (per minute) – 180 TL
Chemical / herbal peeling – 3,300 TL
Professional makeup – 4,500 TL
Evening makeup – 1,800 TL
Facial waxing – 600 TL
Eyebrow tinting – 600 TL
Full body epilation (single session) – 5,250 TL
Manicure – 525 TL
Pedicure – 675 TL
Prosthetic nails – 2,250 TL
OPENING A BEAUTY SALON IS NOW MORE COSTLY
Rising costs in the beauty sector are also making it difficult to establish a business. Kurtönal pointed out the difficulties of the sector, stating that opening a beauty salon now costs an average of 2-2.5 million TL.
“The cost of a single device reaches 700-800 thousand TL. Salon owners are under serious costs with rent and personnel expenses. For this reason, the determined price tariffs are created in line with the costs.”
Authorities warned citizens, especially regarding beauty salons that offer services well below market value. Kurtönal stated that some unlicensed businesses are trying to attract customers with unrealistic prices.
“In some places, 12-session epilation packages are sold for 5,000 TL. However, just the device head is 4 times this price. Likewise, there are places that do skin care for 150 TL. These may be providing services using fake products. Consumers should be careful.”

Serious sanctions are being applied against businesses that create unfair competition with excessively low prices or provide unlicensed services.
Unfair competition penalty: 700-800 thousand TL
Businesses pricing outside the tariff: Administrative fine

Authorities emphasized that beauty salons cannot exceed the determined tariff.
"It is not possible to go above the price, this is a crime. If an excessive fee is requested from citizens, we recommend that they check their invoices. They can file a complaint for excessive price increases."
