Lawyers for talent manager Ayşe Barım, who has been imprisoned since January as part of the Gezi Park investigation, have filed a new request for her release. In the petition submitted to the Istanbul 26th High Criminal Court, her release was requested on the grounds of Barım's severe health problems.

The lawyers stated that Barım was found unconscious in her ward on the morning of June 5 and that her health is deteriorating day by day under prison conditions.

RISK OF SUDDEN DEATH DUE TO HEART DISEASE

It was emphasized in Barım's medical reports that she was diagnosed with "hypertrophic cardiomyopathy" and that this condition could lead to sudden cardiac arrest. Her lawyers stated that open-heart surgery was planned but could not be performed due to her imprisonment.

According to a report from Silivri State Hospital dated May 12, 2025, it was determined that a 7 mm aneurysm in Barım's brain has grown and requires contrast-enhanced monitoring. It was reported that the risk of a brain hemorrhage is high.

FAINTING SPELLS CONTINUE TO INCREASE

It was noted that Barım, who was found unconscious on the morning of June 5, had also fainted many times in prison in the past. According to doctor's reports, fainting is among the primary symptoms of both her heart condition and the aneurysm.

The petition explained that Ayşe Barım is a diabetic and also has a history of severe sleep apnea, fibromyalgia, rheumatological disorders, and pneumonia. The lawyers emphasized that this combination could lead to serious complications.

REQUEST FOR EMERGENCY RELEASE

The lawyers stated, "Barım's health condition poses a serious risk under prison conditions. Her release without waiting for a medical board report is mandatory for the protection of her right to life."
