Famous singer Serdar Ortaç has been sharing his regrets about the past and his thoughts on an alternative life with his followers on social media during his days under house arrest.
Sharing a photo from his youth, Ortaç explained how dropping out of university to pursue fame directed his life.
"I COULD HAVE HAD A PEACEFUL LIFE"
Stating that he had been accepted to Bilkent University but did not complete his education, Ortaç said that if he had finished university, he could have led a calmer and more peaceful life as an English teacher.
Touching upon the difficulties fame brought him, Ortaç expressed how habits like gambling affected his life:
"If I had finished university, if I hadn't become famous, nothing would have happened to me.
I would have had a peaceful, beautiful marriage, and I would have taken care of my children.
But look at fate, it made me Serdar Ortaç, and I have never been out of trouble."
While attributing his current situation to fate on one hand, Ortaç also acknowledged that the difficulties he faced were a result of his own choices:
"Of course, the fault in all of this is mine. It was written this way, God decided this way.
Otherwise, there wouldn't be 3,000 songs either."
