The wind, which is expected to blow from the north and northeast in Çanakkale, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, and Edirne, may occasionally increase in intensity in Gökçeada and Bozcaada, turning into a strong storm.
It is stated that the storm could lead to negative consequences such as roof damage, fallen trees, and disruptions in transportation.
It was emphasized that citizens and authorities should take precautions due to this meteorological event, which is expected to last until Friday evening.
SNOWFALL WARNING ISSUED
Meteorology also announced that heavy precipitation is expected in the northern and eastern parts of Kırklareli starting from tonight.
Starting from tomorrow morning, sleet and snowfall may be seen in higher elevations. By the evening hours, snowfall will be effective throughout the province. Heavy snowfall is expected, especially in high-altitude areas.
It was stated that caution should be exercised against negative conditions such as flooding, icing, frost, and blizzards that may be brought by heavy rain and storms. Drivers in high-altitude areas are advised to be prepared for the risk of icing. Taking early precautions for potential disruptions in transportation is of great importance.
