Azra, daughter of Survivor 2019 contestant Okay Köksal, falls from 8th floor

Azra, the daughter of national wrestler and Survivor 2019 contestant Okay Köksal, has fallen from the 8th floor in an accident. It has been learned that the 14-year-old, who was seriously injured, is currently in intensive care. The incident was announced on social media by Köksal's close friend, Hakan Hatipoğlu.

In his social media post, Hakan Hatipoğlu asked for prayers for Azra. Hatipoğlu stated, "The daughter of our brother Okay, who etched himself into all of our memories the year he joined Survivor with his love for his daughter Azra, has fallen from the 8th floor in an accident and is in intensive care."

Saying, "I just spoke with him, he is asking for prayers. My throat tightened when he said, 'This is the only thing we can do, brother,'" Hatipoğlu added the following:

"I ask everyone who reads this to say a prayer for our beautiful niece. May God help the Köksal family. I hope they overcome this incident in good health. May God help you, my brother."

WHO IS OKAY KÖKSAL?

Okay Köksal was born on May 6, 1987, in the village of Ferhatlı in the Ardanuç district of Artvin.

He was introduced to wrestling during his primary school years thanks to wrestling coaches who visited his class. His talent was quickly recognized, and he was selected for the Artvin Yusufeli Wrestling Training Center.

Having achieved rankings in Turkish Championships during high school, Köksal joined the Youth National Team and began representing Turkey internationally. He achieved his first international success by becoming the champion at the Youth Grand Prix Tournament held in Lyon, France.

Köksal continued his education in 2004 by entering the Yaşar Doğu Faculty of Sports Sciences at Samsun 19 Mayıs University.

During his university years, he continued his wrestling career professionally and transferred to the Ankara Tedaş Sports Club. In 2007, he won the Youth Turkish Wrestling Championship and took his place on the national team.

That same year, he achieved a major success by winning a gold medal at the Youth European Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. He then made Turkey proud by winning a silver medal at the World Championships in Beijing. Okay Köksal, who transferred to the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club in 2018, continues his career there.
