The 'money dispute' between Reynmen and Sefo moves to court

The 'money dispute' between two rappers who are very popular among young people has been moved to court. As rappers Reynmen and Sefo accused each other on social media, Reynmen responded to Sefo, who made 'mafia-like' accusations, saying, "You are trying to humiliate someone who tried to be your friend by claiming they 'mafia-like' seized your money. You talk about our friendship, but you were never friends with me and never wanted to be. Your inferiority complex didn't allow it."

THEY HAD RECORDED A DUET TOGETHER

Seyfullah Sağır, known by his stage name Sefo, and Yusuf Aktaş, publicly known as Reynmen, recorded a duet for the song 'Bonita' in 2021 and starred together in the music video. Sefo, who is the songwriter of the track, announced on his social media account that he had filed a lawsuit against Reynmen on the grounds that he had not received his earnings. The famous rapper also stated that he paid for the music video's expenses out of his own pocket, adding, "However, I will do everything legally possible against this mafia-like attitude of 'seizing revenues'."

Famous rapper Reynmen responded to these accusations on his social media account today.

Reynmen stated, "My dear Seyfullah, you were receiving your payments from me month by month. You can ask your manager at the time, Alper; I can even send you the receipts if you want. In fact, while almost all artists receive quarterly or installment payments, I was sending them to you month by month and 'without deductions' at your own request due to the agreement I made with my distributor. You had 70 thousand followers when you came to my office. We chatted, you were a great kid. Then when it came to making music, you played 'Bilmem Mi?' and Bonita for me. I said, 'Bonita would be good for before summer,' and we made it together. We didn't sign a written agreement between us. We did it out of goodwill. We communicated in a friendly manner. You used to talk about how what we had was more valuable than money, and that you couldn't have it even if you paid money. For me, the point was that I had gained a friend. Then you released 'Bilmem Mi'. During that period, I took you to my concerts, I took you on vacation. You were very happy. In the end, you became a star, Seyfullah."

In the continuation of his statement, Reynmen expressed that Sefo had rejected his offers to meet, writing the following:

"It is obvious that your goal is not to resolve or demand anything. Your intention is to humiliate me in front of the community you address. Normally I wouldn't make this statement, but contrary to what you say, unfortunately, you have malicious intent. You wrote to everyone except me, except me. You cried to everyone, but unfortunately, you didn't write to me, Seyfullah.

I feel very sorry for you. You are no longer the old Sefo, and you have started chasing after money that you think is left with people. I have seen many people like you. I have been on social media for half your age. Many have come and gone. This place taught me to be a human being above all else, but it couldn't teach you. It couldn't teach you, so you are trying to humiliate someone who tried to be your friend by claiming they 'mafia-like' seized your money. You talk about our friendship, but you were never friends with me and never wanted to be. Your inferiority complex didn't allow it. I wish we could have been; there was so much you could have learned from me, and perhaps so much I could have learned from you."

Reynmen also published his correspondence with his lawyer dated January 2, 2024.
