MTM Media Monitoring Center has researched the most talked-about actors in the media and on social media. According to the report, Halit Ergenç was the most talked-about name in traditional media last month, while Sıla Türkoğlu took the top spot on social media.

With changing viewing habits, an actor's career is now shaped not only by their performance in series but also by how they are featured in the media and on social media.

Audiences now follow television screens and digital channels simultaneously; having news coverage in the press and creating engagement on social media not only earns actors a loyal fan base but also increases their sectoral visibility. For this reason, media and social media performance has become key to building sustainable brand value for actors, rather than just an indicator of momentary popularity.

The report, prepared by scanning over 10 thousand sources including the internet, social media, television, and print media between May 1-31, 2025, revealed both the stars of the screen and the popular names of digital platforms.

FACES SETTING THE AGENDA IN TRADITIONAL MEDIA

In traditional media reflections, the most talked-about name in May was Halit Ergenç, who plays the character Kenan Kıran in the series Kral Kaybederse. Ergenç, who topped the list with 2,995 pieces of content, received extensive press coverage due to a suspended prison sentence he received following allegations of "perjury" in the Gezi Park trial.

Levent Üzümcü, an actor and General Art Director of the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality City Theaters, who placed second on the list, came to the agenda with his speeches at the Art and Society themed talks in İzmir and Çeşme.

Çağatay Ulusoy, who is in third place, drew attention with his scenes in the new episode of the series Eşref Rüya, which aired on May 30. According to the report; throughout May 2025, actors were remarkably at the center of the agenda in both traditional media and social channels.
