The silent crisis in professional life: 7 out of every 10 young people are thinking about changing jobs!

Ahead of National Mental Health Awareness Month, a survey conducted by Talker Research for isolved gathered the opinions of 2,000 young employees.

According to the research results, 73 percent of Gen Z and 70 percent of Millennials are planning to make a job or career change. In contrast, 51 percent of Gen X and only 33 percent of the Baby Boomer generation are open to changing jobs.

While 52 percent of participants stated that they experience burnout in their current jobs, this rate reaches 68 percent among Gen Z and 61 percent among Millennials. While the burnout rate drops to 47 percent for Gen X, it remains at 30 percent for the Baby Boomer generation.

REPETITIVE TASKS AND LACK OF APPRECIATION

The biggest cause of burnout among survey participants stands out as the monotony of the work. While 33 percent of participants stated that they feel like they are doing the same things every day, 23 percent expressed that their salaries have not changed despite increasing expectations and that their work is not sufficiently appreciated.

Additionally, 30 percent of participants stated that they work in a toxic work environment. 52 percent said they had to work while sick, and 31 percent said they were not even given a lunch break.

STRESS AND COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS IN THE WORKPLACE

Stress among employees (47 percent) and a lack of flexible working opportunities (40 percent) are seen as the biggest factors threatening a positive culture in the workplace.

Negativity (32 percent) and widespread burnout (31 percent) are also among the significant problems.

According to isolved data, 79 percent of employees stated that they have experienced burnout within the last year.

This situation has led to only 36 percent of employees fulfilling their mandatory duties and not putting in extra effort.
