Tuğçe Tayfur's response to İbrahim Tatlıses: 'I wasn't even aware'

Following the news of his death, which plunged the art world into mourning, eyes turned to Tayfur's daughter, Tuğçe, with whom he had been estranged for some time. The famous singer, who was alleged to have targeted İbrahim Tatlıses in her farewell post to her father, has issued a statement.

'SHE IS BARELY STANDING WITH THE HELP OF INJECTIONS'

The famous singer's close friend, Murat Uçmaz, shared a photo on social media of Tuğçe Tayfur watching concert footage of her father. In the caption of the photo he shared on his Instagram account, Murat Uçmaz wrote the message, "My dear friend's tears have not stopped for a moment. She is barely standing with the help of injections."

FIGHT AT THE FUNERAL

Tuğçe Tayfur made headlines with reports of a fight at her father's coffin. She responded with profanity to the words, "You cannot touch and defile him. He is not coming here." While those attending the funeral reacted to the situation, Necla Nazır tried to calm her daughter down. Her cousin Şirin Gözalıcı, who was by the artist's side until his final moments, responded to the reports about her, saying, "I am very sad to be subjected to this statement in such a painful situation. I was not the person arguing at the funeral; I was on my way. The person who provoked the other side from under a mask, showered them with profanities, and then, unable to control herself, revealed herself with her own profanities is the one who is actually responsible."

Ferdi Tayfur, who was laid to rest following a ceremony held at the Atatürk Cultural Center on Saturday, January 4, was the subject of the first social media post by his daughter Tuğçe Tayfur, with whom he had been estranged for some time, two weeks after his death.

'HE DID NOT WANT TO APPEAR BEFORE YOU AFTER HIS FIRST ILLNESS'

Sharing a photo taken with her father years ago, Tuğçe Tayfur wrote the message, "Remember my father like this. With his eyes smiling, happy, and full of life. He became a father to you perhaps even more than he was to me and my siblings. He was not the prince of arabesque, he was the king. After his first illness, he did not want to appear before you, saying, 'Let my fans remember me as I was in my films and music videos,' and he withdrew into seclusion. That is why he did not want his final images to be reflected in the media, and I am sure you understand that too. Notebooks would not be enough to tell the memories I have with my father."

'I BID FAREWELL TO MY FATHER WITH A SMILE ON HIS FACE'

The singer stated, "I know you want a statement. I can only tell you this: my father smiled at me one last time, and I said goodbye to him and sent him off with a smile on his rosy-cheeked face. I would have loved to tell you about the last act of fatherhood he showed me. Maybe one day. Now, the only thing he needs is prayer."

RESPONSE TO İBRAHİM TATLISES

The words "He was not the prince of arabesque, he was the king" in Tuğçe Tayfur's post were interpreted as a jab at İbrahim Tatlıses, who had said "Arabesque has lost its prince" at the master artist's memorial service. Tuğçe Tayfur responded to the claim in question.

Sending a message to the program 'Gel Konuşalım' broadcast on TV8, Tayfur said, "There is no need to disturb my father in his grave. What he needs is prayer. Let me just clarify this; I did not say it to criticize İbrahim Bey. I wasn't even aware that he had made such a statement. It is not my place. My friends do not leave me and my mother alone for even a day. They conveyed to me that he had said this in an interview with Ahmet Selçuk İlkan, and I really liked it. I wanted to use this phrase while making my farewell statement to my father. Otherwise, as everyone knows, İbrahim Bey also knows very well that my father comes to mind when the king of arabesque is mentioned. And I don't think he made such a statement.
