Making a statement after the incident, Bilic said, "I was clearly and severely punched and assaulted in a restaurant, within the view of security cameras." Bilic, who obtained a medical report for the assault from Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Hospital, stated that she has initiated the legal process and expects her safety to be ensured.

Bilic stated that since their relationship ended in January, she has been systematically stalked, harassed, and assaulted by Berk Çetin. She noted that Çetin approached her living space without permission, attempted to enter her home, and breached security to enter her residence unauthorized. She also mentioned that he would occasionally force her door and enter the complex disguised as a courier.

Berk Çetin, who was taken into custody following Bilic's complaint, was referred to the courthouse after processing at the police station. While an investigation into the incident has been launched, it was reported that necessary measures will be taken to ensure Bilic's safety.
