The Chief Physician's Office of Gazimağusa State Hospital announced that CPR was performed on Konak for 40 minutes on stage, but despite all interventions, the artist passed away. Following the tragic news, his wife, Selma Konak, collapsed in front of the hospital, while close friends arrived at the hospital to offer support.

According to the statement made by the Chief Physician's Office of Gazimağosa State Hospital regarding the 58-year-old famous artist Volkan Konak, who collapsed while performing in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and passed away at the hospital, medical teams were quickly dispatched to the hotel where the artist was performing following a report received by the 112 Emergency Call Center on March 30, 2025, at 23:23.
CPR PERFORMED FOR 40 MINUTES
While CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) was administered for approximately 40 minutes by the physicians and emergency medical team present at the concert venue, the artist was subsequently intubated and transferred to the hospital at 00:10.
It was stated that Konak, who arrived at the hospital at 00:17 as "Ex duhul" (deceased upon arrival), received advanced life support for 25 minutes from a team of specialist doctors.
However, as no response was obtained despite all interventions, it was announced that the artist passed away at 00:42.
In its statement, the Chief Physician's Office included the following: "We wish God's mercy upon the late Volkan Konak and extend our condolences to his family, relatives, and loved ones."

His wife, Selma Konak, collapsed in front of the hospital upon receiving the tragic news. Upon hearing of his death, the artist's close friends Hakan Altun, Sibel Can, Koray Avcı, and Serkan Kaya also went to the hospital to support his loved ones.
