Gülben Ergen's reaction: 'Will they take me in?'

The arrest of suspended Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu after four days in detention has been protested with demonstrations held across the country.

As the protests continue, many young people, mostly university students, have been detained and arrested in several cities, primarily in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, both during the demonstrations and through home raids.

'WILL THEY TAKE ME INTO CUSTODY?'

Famous artist Gülben Ergen expressed her reaction by making a statement on her social media account regarding the arrests.

Ergen stated, "If I say release the students, will they take me into custody? They are children the age of my own children. Are you from there? Are you from here? I stand for justice and democracy! Is a 9-day holiday really a holiday while those children are inside?"
