Following reports that Mesut Adlin, described as a celebrity photographer, was involved in harassment allegations, a statement also came from Gülşen.
While reactions to the events were pouring in, singer Gülşen stated in a post on her social media account, "Everyone is innocent until proven guilty."
In her second post, Gülşen included the following remarks:
"And that is only (if it exists) until the crime is proven. Aren't justice and laws there for exactly this? To be the voice of the voiceless, the protector of the unprotected."
