Tuncay Akça, who played the role of 'Bacaksız' in the 'Hababam Sınıfı' film, was a guest on the Kim Seslendirdi channel on YouTube.
Akça, who made sincere statements on many topics ranging from his acting career to his life story, drew attention with his confession regarding the master actress Adile Naşit.
"I WAS A CHILD WHO SHINED SHOES"
Stating that he was discovered by Ertem Eğilmez when he was 12 years old, Akça said, "I had just started middle school. I was a small child who shined shoes. I was someone who helped the coffee shop owner, the greengrocer, and the butcher. Then one day at school, they made us shout 'Mahmut Hoca, Mahmut Hoca' from the bottom up. It turned out that our school had become a hospital and they had given Mahmut Hoca a fake diploma, and we, as the students of the school, were shouting."
"ERTEM ABI HAD ME SHINE HIS SHOES"
Akça continued as follows:
"Then one day, my friend insisted on taking me to the set where the film was being shot. I was shining shoes, so I went to the set. Some people were filming things. I laughed at a scene there. Ertem Abi said something to Adile Abla. But I laughed at that remark for a minute and a half. Ertem Abi said 'cut' there and looked at me. I went forward and was still laughing. Then he took a break, called me over, and had me shine his shoes. He gave me 10 liras and said, 'Isn't it shameful, son? We are working here.' I apologized, but I couldn't look him in the face. I also shined the shoes of the older brothers there."
"MY LAUGH WAS MY ENTRY INTO CINEMA"
A few days passed, and that laugh of mine pleased Ertem Abi; he called me and I said, 'It's my normal laugh, Abi.' We started to build a rapport with Adile Abla and Ertem Abi. Then Ertem Abi told me, 'Come tomorrow with your uniform and your bag.' I went, taking my shoe-shine box with me too. He said, 'Go on, laugh at them.' I went, and he did three rehearsals and filmed me in one take. He saw that I had a spark. He said, 'Come to the fire station tomorrow.' I went, and Tarık Akan, Kemal Sunal, and Halit Akçatepe were soaking wet, and I laughed at them with an umbrella in my hand. My laugh was my entry into cinema."
"ADILE ABLA WANTED TO ADOPT ME"
Regarding Adile Naşit, who played his mother in the film 'Bizim Aile', Tuncay Akça said, "When Adile Naşit died, I remained frozen in front of the television for 3 hours. She had wanted to adopt me. She lived in Balmumcu. I would buy oranges and tangerines for Adile Abla on holidays and go visit her. Around 11:00, Adile Abla would prepare breakfast and we would have breakfast together. I had memories with her for many years."
