Traffic fine for 'Handsome Security': Driver's license suspended

USED UNAUTHORIZED FLASHING LIGHTS

The Istanbul Police Department's Traffic Inspection Branch teams launched an investigation following footage shared on social media on January 30. Investigations revealed that illegal lighting equipment was used on a vehicle on Pazaryolu Street in Esenyurt. Consequently, administrative action was taken against the driver for the use of non-compliant flashing lights.

DRIVER'S LICENSE SUSPENDED

As a result of the efforts, the driver, Muhammet Sürmeli, was identified and apprehended by the teams.

Sürmeli was issued a total administrative fine of 142,255 Turkish Lira under the Highway Traffic Law for "unauthorized use of advertisements and logos," "use of non-compliant flashing lights," "window tinting," and "technical modifications." Additionally, his driver's license was suspended for 1 month, and his vehicle was banned from traffic for 30 days.
