MasterChef 2021 champion chef Eren Kaşıkçı was found dead in the home where he lived alone in Sarıyer, Istanbul. Upon receiving a report from relatives who could not reach Kaşıkçı, teams arrived at the house and discovered the 37-year-old chef's lifeless body.
Gendarmerie teams conducted an investigation at the scene. Kaşıkçı's body was subsequently taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy procedures. An investigation has been launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as the death was deemed suspicious.
It was learned that Kaşıkçı's body was received by his family following the autopsy procedures. It was stated that the funeral would be taken to a cemevi and that information regarding the ceremony would be shared later.
