Here are the 4 cheapest new cars on the market

As we enter 2024, there is activity in the new vehicle market. While many automotive brands are working to bring in new production vehicles, some are launching their new models.

In November and December, dealerships looking to clear out 2023-produced vehicles organized campaigns and offered consumers affordable prices. So, what is the current situation in the market, and are the campaigns still ongoing?

Hayrettin Ertemel, President of the Istanbul Motor Vehicle Dealers Association (İMAS), explained the details regarding the matter as follows:

WHEN WILL THE CAMPAIGNS END?

“Price drops in the new vehicle market, which began as of September, reached their most advantageous point during October and November, and the discounts applied were reduced as of December.

We see that discounts have been gradually reduced in January and February, and are now approaching list prices. It can be said that the campaigns have largely ended. With the full entry of 2024 model cars into the market starting in March and April, the remaining campaigns will also come to an end."

IS THIS THE LAST CHANCE TO BUY AN AFFORDABLE VEHICLE?

"November was the most favorable period for new car prices. Since then, while discounts have decreased, there has been a slight increase in list prices. Given the conditions, we can say that the prices from a few months ago were more advantageous.

Automobile prices are affected by factors such as exchange rates, costs, and inflation. In the current situation, we estimate that car prices will rise slightly in the future. However, even if prices rise, due to the measures taken by our Ministry of Trade, increased competition, and decreased demand, the speculations seen in the past will not occur.

Therefore, potential price increases will be at normal and reasonable levels. Users who want to buy a new car can make a decision that suits their budget and needs by taking the conditions into account."

HERE ARE THE CHEAPEST CARS ON THE MARKET

Ertemel listed the cheapest cars offered for sale in the Turkish market as follows:

• The Hyundai i10 and Kia Picanto, which are A-segment small hatchback cars, stand out as the cheapest options on the market.
• The starting price of the Hyundai i10 is 780,000 TL,
• And the Kia Picanto is 838,000 TL.
• The C-segment sedan family car, Fiat Egea, draws attention as the most affordable car produced in Turkey. The starting price of the Fiat Egea is 864,000 TL.
• The B-segment hatchback car, Citroen C3, is among the most affordable cars with a price of 872,000 TL.
