HOW MANY DAYS IS THE EID AL-ADHA HOLIDAY?
Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun announced the dates on which public employees will be considered on administrative leave for Eid al-Adha. According to Altun's statement, the leave period, which will begin on the afternoon of Thursday, June 5, will continue on June 6, 7, 8, and 9.
In a post shared on social media, Altun made the following statements:
'On the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha that we will soon observe, our public employees will be considered on administrative leave starting from the afternoon of Thursday, June 5 (the eve), and continuing through June 6, 7, 8, and 9, 2025 (the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th days of the holiday). Normal working hours in the public sector will resume on Tuesday, June 10. We pray to Allah that our Eid al-Adha will be blessed, that it will strengthen our unity and solidarity, and we wish all our citizens who will be traveling for the holiday a safe and sound journey.'
The holiday was not extended to 9 days.
