HAS THE DİYANET MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT?
The statement made by the Diyanet is as follows:
''Taking into account the relevant hadiths, current socio-economic living conditions, and a person's daily food needs, the fitra amount in our country has been set at 180 TL for the period from Ramadan 2025 to Ramadan 2026.
The amount determined as fitra can be given in cash or in kind through food items.
This determined sum is also the daily fidyah (expiation) amount for fasting.
In addition, every taxpayer may give an amount equivalent to their own daily food expenditures as fitra.”
