İnci Türkay explained that she and Defne Joy Foster had a period of estrangement but had reconciled, saying: "I was in Nişantaşı on the day I returned home from the set, and I had the flu. She was my neighbor; she lived in Topağacı. She came to me and said, 'Come on, let's go.' I was sick, I asked where we were going. But we reconciled there. Our falling out was also very funny; we usually reconciled right away anyway."
"I said I couldn't go out, I was sick, but she insisted, saying, 'Oh, please come.' I said, 'Where are you going in the evening, never mind, sit here.' She said, 'I get bored.' After she left that living room, I received the news of her death in the morning, and I sat there, perhaps for 3-4 nights without sleeping, looking at the place where she had left."
It was also reported that Foster, who was known to have had a falling out with Mustafa Kotan at the time for a simple reason, hugged her close friend and the famous director Kotan and shed tears when she encountered him at the venue.
Kotan stated that they left the venue saying, "Let's meet again tomorrow," and added: "Two hours later, that painful news arrived. We all experienced a great shock."
İnci Türkay, meanwhile, could not control her emotions and was unable to hold back her tears while describing the day she lost her close friend.
