İnci Türkay speaks out for the first time years later about Defne Joy Foster's final night! 'I insisted so much, but...'

İnci Türkay was a guest on the Katarsis program, prepared and hosted by the famous presenter Gökhan Çınar. While the actress spoke about her process of moving to London and her private life, the most striking part of her conversation was her sincere statement regarding her former co-star Defne Joy Foster, who passed away in 2011.

Türkay, who played the character of Betüş in the series "Sihirli Annem" in the past, stated that they maintained their friendship despite occasional minor disagreements between them and Foster. However, what she shared about the night Defne Joy Foster lost her life caused deep sadness among the program's viewers and social media users.

Sharing the details of the evening Foster lost her life, Türkay said:

“On the night she passed away, she came to my house in Nişantaşı. She suggested we go out to Beyoğlu. I was very weak that day, I felt like I had the flu, and I didn't want to go out. I insisted a lot, saying, 'Don't go out, stay here,' but she didn't listen to me and left.”

Following this, İnci Türkay expressed that she was in great shock upon receiving the tragic news in the early hours of the morning and stated that she still feels the effects of the trauma she experienced. While recounting those moments, she used the following emotional expressions:

“Afterward, I stared into the void for days. I constantly relive that moment in my mind. I still close that door in my dreams, I chain it so she won't leave... But in reality, she left.”
