A new development has occurred in the trial of the fraudster who, two years ago, called Erkan Can claiming to be from the bank, told him he would transfer his accumulated card fees and promotions to his account, and had the veteran actor perform transactions via mobile banking, thereby seizing 9 thousand dollars.

According to the report by Arzu Kaya from Sabah, Ü.G., who transferred the famous actor's money to his account and went to the bank with a friend to withdraw it, did not accept the charges throughout the trial. He claimed that a friend he knew from the neighborhood as Ramo told him money would be coming and that he let his friend use his own bank account because he did not have one.

UP TO 10 YEARS IN PRISON REQUESTED

He stated that they withdrew the money that came into the account together and that he gave it to his friend, and he requested his acquittal. However, the prosecutor, in his opinion on the merits, stated that this defense was contrary to the ordinary flow of life and that the defendant gave testimony aimed at escaping the crime, and requested up to 10 years in prison for the crime of 'fraud by introducing oneself as a public official or employee of banking institutions or by claiming to be associated with these institutions'.

"I DO NOT ACCEPT THE CRIME BUT I WOULD LIKE TO COVER THE LOSS"

Erkan Can, who stated that he performed mobile banking transactions under the guidance of the individual and learned that 9 thousand dollars in his account had been exchanged and transferred to another account against his will, stated that his loss had not been covered either. The defendant, who did not accept the charges, said in the final hearing of the case, "I do not accept the crime, but I would like to cover the loss."

COURT GRANTED TIME

The court noted that the defendant requested to cover the loss and decided to grant him time. It requested that Ü.G. deposit the 9 thousand dollars, which is the amount of the loss, into Erkan Can's account and submit the receipt to the court file.
