Iranian actress Shailin Asadollahi detained in Turkey: Her life is in danger

Iranian actress Shailin Asadollahi was detained in Istanbul yesterday. The actress, who is being held at a Removal Center, faces the risk of being deported to Iran. Asadollahi's friends stated, "If Shailin Asadollahi is deported to Iran, her life will be in danger because she comes from a political family."

Shailin Asadollahi, who works as a Persian-Turkish translator in addition to acting, was detained in Istanbul after someone she had previously argued with and filed a complaint against filed a complaint against her.

Expressing that she is very upset about being detained, the actress requested solidarity from citizens for her release.

Emphasizing that her life would be in danger if Asadollahi were deported to Iran, her friends sent the following message to Iranian director, screenwriter, and actress Mania Akbari for solidarity:

“Shailin Asadollahi, the sister of political prisoner Anisha Asadollahi who is being held in Evin Prison in Tehran, Iran, has been detained by the Turkish police and is planned to be deported to Iran. Shailin Asadollahi's life is in danger because she comes from a political family, and her siblings Ali Asadollahi and Anisha Asadollahi are also two political activists currently in Evin Prison.

If Shailin Asadollahi is deported to Iran, her life could be in danger. We are asking for help from friends in Turkey to prevent Shailin Asadollahi's deportation.”
