It was claimed that famous actor Peker Açıkalın, remembered for his roles as Gaffur in Avrupa Yakası and Bahattin in the Maskeli Beşler series, had suffered a brain hemorrhage.

According to a report by Magazin Burada, it was stated that 61-year-old Peker Açıkalın had lost his ability to speak and would undergo a series of surgeries.

Peker Açıkalın had previously survived a heart attack in 2011.
