A verdict has been reached in the compensation lawsuit filed by Duygu Nebioğlu, one of the twin daughters born from the extramarital relationship between Yeşilçam actor Metin Akpınar and Suphiye Orancı in the 1980s, against Metin Akpınar.

The court ruled in favor of Nebioğlu, awarding 6 million TL in non-pecuniary damages. It was stated that the decision is subject to appeal.

Expressing her feelings after the decision, Duygu Nebioğlu said, "We made this decision due to the sadness I have experienced for years and the desire to take ownership of my childhood wounds, and I believe that justice has been served in line with the decision we made. A precedent-setting decision has been taken."

Stating that they had previously filed a paternity suit and won it, lawyer Ahmet Furkan Uludağ said the following regarding the court's decision:

"We filed a lawsuit for compensation that would at least sprinkle some water on Duygu's devastation. Many witnesses were heard in our case. A precedent-setting decision was made by the court. In line with our request, 6 million TL in non-pecuniary damages was awarded to Duygu. I hope that this compensation awarded in her favor will, to some extent, soothe the pain Duygu has suffered until now."
