Tarık Yılmaz, who began his career at Sözcü newspaper and had been working at MPR for nearly five years, passed away due to a heart attack he suffered on the evening of the previous day.
In a statement released by MPR on social media, the following was written about Tarık Yılmaz:
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague Tarık Yılmaz, a valuable journalist, one of the best pens in the PR sector, a true friend and gentleman, and a beloved member of the MPR team. May he rest in peace. We will miss him dearly. The MPR Family,” the statement read.
Yılmaz's funeral was held at the Gaziosmanpaşa Yunus Emre Mosque, where he was laid to rest.
