Kadir İnanır’s nephews put an end to inheritance debate! Will they claim their rights?

Following the death of Kadir İnanır, the master actor's twin nephews, Cevahir Önder and Hüseyin Önder, have issued a statement regarding the inheritance debate that has come to the fore. The Önder brothers stated that they did not go to the courthouse to receive a share of the inheritance, but were involved in the process due to an official notification sent to them.

İnanır’s lawyer, Bişar Abdi Alnıak, had previously announced that the artist left his inheritance to his life partner, Jülide Kural. Following this announcement, the stance of the family members became a topic of discussion.

THEY EXPLAINED WHY THEY WENT TO THE COURTHOUSE

Cevahir and Hüseyin Önder answered questions about the inheritance debate before the ‘Terzi Fikri’ play, which premiered at the Trump Stage the other evening.

Hüseyin Önder stated that he would not make any claims regarding the inheritance, saying, “He leaves it to whomever he wants. What the law says here is important. I say this very sincerely: The inheritance does not interest us.”

Önder explained their reason for going to the courthouse with the words, “I didn't go there saying I would take the inheritance. A notification came to me and I went, that's all. I will not claim any rights.”

Cevahir Önder also stated that they did not want the inheritance debate to overshadow the play they were performing, saying:

“We do not want this to overshadow our play in any way. One; this is a family matter. Two; this is everyone's right. The reason we were there was to fulfill our legal duty. The whole family was going, so we went too. However, this issue was taken to very different places. Believe me, it does not interest us.”

The Önder brothers also expressed that they respect Kadir İnanır’s life partner, Jülide Kural, as required by their family upbringing.

Regarding Levent İnanır’s reaction to the inheritance debate, Cevahir Önder said, “I see this as a momentary reaction. I do not believe that he thinks this way in general.”

THEY WILL BRING Kadir İnanır’S LIFE TO THE STAGE

Cevahir and Hüseyin Önder announced that they are considering bringing Kadir İnanır’s life to the theater stage in the future.

Cevahir Önder stated that permission must be obtained from the family for such a project, saying, “We need to get permission from the family. If permission is not granted, we will not perform it.”

Hüseyin Önder, on the other hand, stated that the project telling the life of Kadir İnanır would come to the agenda after ‘Terzi Fikri’, saying, “The story of ‘Terzi Fikri’ is just beginning. It needs to have its own path for a while. After that, it will be Kadir Dayı’s turn.”

THEY WILL PERFORM IN FATSA FOR ‘TERZİ FİKRİ’

Cevahir and Hüseyin Önder said they wanted the ‘Terzi Fikri’ play they are performing to be discussed rather than the inheritance debate.

Two performances will be held in Fatsa next week for the play, which tells the life of former Fatsa Mayor Fikri Sönmez. The Önder brothers stated that the tickets for the first day have sold out.

Hüseyin Önder stated that the play does not only tell a story from the past, saying, “This is not just a story of that day. It is a story that touches the conscience and courage of our day as well.”

WHAT DOES Fırat İnanır SAY ABOUT THE INHERITANCE?

Fırat İnanır, the son of Kadir İnanır’s only living brother Reşit İnanır, was also seen working at a construction site during the days when the inheritance debates were ongoing.

It was stated that Fırat İnanır, who has been involved in project work for years, is not interested in the inheritance and will debates. Fırat İnanır expressed his love for his uncle with the words, “Being the nephew of a giant artist like him is enough for me.”
