The concerts will primarily feature songs that reflect "human stories." The performances will reflect Ahmet Kaya's courage in transcending cultural boundaries and the unique sound he created by blending different musical traditions, alongside Kardeş Türküler's culturally pluralistic approach that incorporates the various voices and languages of the region; there will also be special surprises.
Kardeş Türküler, while drawing attention to the multi-layered accumulation in Ahmet Kaya's music, states: “In his works, a wide variety of musical elements are seen together, from the 'ince saz' tradition of the Malatya/Elazığ region to Azerbaijani music, Abdal music, the Kurdish dengbêj tradition, as well as arabesque, alaturka, and rock.
We will embrace this richness with our polyphonic structure, which we shape with a culturally pluralistic understanding. By emphasizing the different cultural elements in his songs, we will reinterpret them sometimes with traditional instruments and sometimes with original arrangements. Our goal is to make the musical bridge he created even more visible and to always bring his songs together with peace and brotherhood."
