Köfteci Yusuf, which has many branches across Turkey, has announced a new policy banning pets from entering its restaurant interiors.

Signs posted at the entrances of the branches state that this decision was made within the scope of Law No. 5996 on "Veterinary Services, Plant Health, Food and Feed."

While acknowledging that pets are an important part of life, the restaurant management explained that they took this step to protect the health of their guests and ensure a hygienic environment.

In a statement saying, "We are obligated to inform you that pets are not allowed inside," the management emphasized that they were fulfilling their legal responsibilities.

Furthermore, they expressed their hope that pet owners would enjoy their time in the outdoor areas.

This decision caused mixed reactions on social media. While some users pointed out the importance of hygiene rules, others reacted against the decision.

A user supporting the decision commented, "Congratulations. I find it correct that animals are not allowed in places where food is produced and consumed for the sake of food safety and public health," while another user who opposed the decision stated, "My dog in its bag, my bird in its bag, we used to go in and eat as a family on every trip. Well, you're finished for me."
