Lead actor for Yılmaz Güney film announced

Preparations are underway for a feature film that will bring the life story of the legendary Turkish cinema actor, nicknamed the Ugly King, Yılmaz Güney, to the big screen.
According to journalist Birsen Altuntaş, actor İsmail Hacıoğlu, who also appeared in the film "Cem Karaca’nın Gözyaşları" (Cem Karaca's Tears), will portray "Yılmaz Güney". Yüksel Aksu will sit in the director's chair for the film.
The Yılmaz Güney film, for which İsmail Hacıoğlu has begun preparations, is planned to start shooting at the beginning of 2025. The film, produced by Ahmet San, will be based on Fatoş Güney’s book 'Camları Kırın Kuşlar Kurtulsun'.
