WHO IS ECE ATA?
Born in Istanbul on July 17, 1996, Ece Ata met with music at a professional level from a young age in an artistic family. Her father is Salih "Ata," a beloved Turkish-Latin pop artist of the 90s; her mother is Mücella Ata, a TRT Turkish Folk Music vocalist; and her older brother is a tenor serving at the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet.
The artist, whose stage journey began when she was selected for the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet Children's Choir at the age of 7, reinforced her education with significant milestones such as a 2nd place finish in the world in Singapore, solo opera performances in Italy, jazz concerts, the TRT Youth Choir, an invitation from Berklee, the Haliç University Opera Department, and the Giacomo Puccini Conservatory in Italy. In 2020, she won 1st place in an international competition in Spain and was referred to as a "divine voice reminiscent of Maria Callas." Ece Ata, who has appeared as a soloist on the "Serkan Çağrı Sahnesi" program on TRT Müzik and continues to perform with world-renowned clarinet virtuoso Serkan Çağrı, continues to successfully showcase her powerful performance across different musical genres. Releasing her first single, "Alacalı," in July 2025, the artist successfully represented our country in the "Meikin Asia International Song Contest" that same month, bringing a 3rd place finish to Turkey.
