MasterChef Türkiye, featuring judges Mehmet Yalçınkaya, Danilo Zanna, and Somer Sivrioğlu, aired its new episode on Monday evening, September 10.

During the night of the captaincy challenge, the chefs asked the contestants to prepare a type of baklava of their choice.

As the contestants fought hard to make the best baklava, the judges began the tasting once the plates were finished.

During the tasting, a baklava-ayran debate occurred between Chef Mehmet and Chef Danilo. Danilo Zanna was surprised by Mehmet Yalçınkaya's words: "Ayran is consumed with kadayıf or baklava. It's not something traditional, but it is preferred."

'I AM ADDRESSING TURKEY; IS AYRAN DRUNK WITH BAKLAVA?'

Chef Danilo said, "I swear I have been in Turkey for 12 years. I have traveled everywhere. I stayed in Gaziantep for two years. In my entire life, I have never seen anyone eat baklava with ayran. I am addressing Turkey; is ayran drunk with baklava?"

Chef Mehmet even ate baklava and drank ayran to try and convince Zanna.

After the tastings, the three contestants who prepared the best plates were Zübeyde, Onur, and Eda. Among these three, Zübeyde won the blue team captaincy.
