Melek Mosso, whose concerts were canceled by certain AKP-run municipalities, made statements following the CHP emerging as the leading party across Turkey in the March 31 local elections.

'WE COULD NOT BOOK SOME'

In her statement, Mosso said, "Friends, looking at what is written below, everyone thought we would be giving municipal concerts. That will happen too, but what I meant is that we will be able to perform concerts in halls and open-air venues that we will rent from municipalities; we could not book some of them. I work with every municipality. The important thing is that the concerts are not distorted from their purpose."

Continuing her remarks, the singer said, "I am very happy that I will be able to perform concerts in most of the unique cities of my country."
