Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Cüneyd of 'Kızıl Goncalar', goes on vacation

The series 'Kızıl Goncalar' bid farewell to its audience with its 19th episode, marking the season finale.

Mert Yazıcıoğlu, who brings the character of 'Cüneyd' to life in the series that becomes a trending topic with every episode, set off on a boat vacation with his close friend Kerem Bürsin as soon as the cameras stopped rolling.

The photo of the two friends enjoying the sun and the sea on the boat received more than 10 thousand likes and thousands of comments on social media.

In a statement he made recently, Mert Yazıcıoğlu had expressed that he had gotten used to the beard he grew for the series and would not be cutting it.

WHO IS MERT YAZICIOĞLU?

He was born on May 10, 1993, in Istanbul. After completing his primary, secondary, and high school education in Istanbul, he enrolled in the Business Administration Department at Istanbul Aydın University. During his studies, he decided to become an actor and left his business studies to begin taking acting training.

He took his first step toward becoming an actor when he visited a TV series set where a friend of his was acting. The actor, who appeared in a short scene in the film titled 'Dedemin İnsanları', later began to appear on screens with the series 'Kayıp Şehir'. While acting in this series, he also began taking acting lessons.

He first met with the Cast 33 agency, founded by Sumru Onat, and later with Ümit Çırak. He began taking acting classes from Ümit Çırak at the 3 Mota Training workshop. Between 2013 and 2016, he played the character of "Baran Şamverdi" in the series 'Karagül', which aired on FOX and starred names such as Ece Uslu, Özcan Deniz, and Ayça Ayşin Turan.

Later, he played the character of "Fırat" in the series 'Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz' and the character of "Korkut" in the series 'Mehmed: Bir Cihan Fatihi'. In 2018, he played the character of "Cenk" in the feature film 'İyi Oyun'.

Between 2018 and 2019, he played the character of "Mahir Yetkin" in the series 'Bir Litre Gözyaşı', which aired on Kanal D. He played the role of "Sinan" in the Netflix series 'Aşk 101'. Since the end of 2023, he has been playing the character of Cüneyd Güneş in the series 'Kızıl Goncalar'.
