One worker lost his life and another was injured in a collapse at a private coal mine in the Kilimli district of Zonguldak.
The collapse occurred at around 12:00 p.m. at a coal mine operated by Gelik Madencilik in the Kilimli district.
Health, gendarmerie, police, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the region.
While the injured worker was taken for treatment, Şenol Zurnalı was also pulled from the rubble as a critically injured person after a 1-hour effort by his colleagues and brought to Atatürk State Hospital.
Zurnalı was taken off the ambulance while receiving CPR.
His colleagues and relatives were seen waiting in sorrow in front of the hospital.
Zurnalı, who was taken under treatment, could not be saved despite all interventions by the doctors.
