Munzur Mountains become a center of attraction for tourists

With snow on their peaks, colorful flowers blooming in their highlands, and babbling brooks, the Munzur Mountains, where all four seasons can be experienced at once, are attracting domestic tourists interested in trekking, photography artists, and nature enthusiasts.

Starting from the village of Tatlısu in Erzincan, domestic tourists travel a certain distance by vehicle and then hike along trails to reach the 3,300-meter-high Munzur Mountains, where they are met with the breathtaking view of the Munzur range, with one side facing Erzincan and the other facing Tunceli.

Unable to hide their admiration for the magnificent nature they see, the tourists cross rushing streams and smell the colorful blooming flowers, forgetting the fatigue of the kilometers they have walked.

Tourists, who immortalized their holiday memories with photos and videos taken with highland residents grazing sheep flocks while camping at the foothills of the Munzur Mountains, took a long break around Yeşil Göl (Green Lake), the largest glacial lake in the region, before heading back.

Noting that it is an unparalleled natural environment for those who love adrenaline and a magnificent area for camping, the citizens stated that while the journey is tiring, it is well worth the effort.
