The starting price for the iPhone 16 is 64,999 TL, while the price for the 512 GB iPhone 16 Pro Max is 119,999 TL.
CHP Erzincan MP Mustafa Sarıgül criticized the prices in a post on X, stating, "Ipone 16 Turkey sales price is 118,000 liras. Elon Musk, don't rip us off; who in Turkey is going to buy this at this price? #AppleEvent"
In the video, Sarıgül also said, "Sarıgül, Elon Musk, what are you doing to rip people off every year? You just released the iPhone 16, 118 thousand liras. Who is going to buy this in Turkey, brother? Honestly, shame on you."
