Banu Parlak, whose beauty center was shot at last year, had filed a complaint against the defendants, including Engin and Dilan Polat. While the court decided to continue the detention of the couple in the hearing held in recent weeks, Banu Parlak has now withdrawn her complaint.
"THE FILE IS CLOSED FOR ME"
Stating in a post on her Instagram account that she had met with the Polat couple's family and decided to step back from the case, Banu Parlak used the following expressions:
"After the terrible incident I experienced, I could not meet with my former friend Dilan Polat and her family because we were both going through difficult times during the same period. We recently came together in a family setting and shared the difficulties we experienced. After Nilda told me, 'Banu sister, my mother cried a lot on the day you were shot,' the file is closed for me. I had not been able to find anyone to talk to until now, and as a result of an assessment made with my lawyer, we concluded that we needed to hear about the incident directly from the individuals themselves.
"I CONCLUDED THAT DILAN AND HER FAMILY WOULD NOT ENGAGE IN SUCH AN ACT"
"Thanks to my lawyer, I finally found someone who could clearly explain the situation to me; I listened to the details and concluded that Dilan and her family would not engage in such an act. For this reason, I have withdrawn my complaint against them; I hope justice is served. I would also like to state that Dilan Polat, Engin Polat, and Sezgin Polat did not spend a single day in prison because of my complaint; the arrest warrant issued in my file was never executed. The reasons for their detention until now have been the financial file; I was never the reason for their detention."
