The plight of little Buse, which received widespread attention in the country, also caught the attention of Akdeniz University. A new hope dawned for the Kamalı family as they headed to Akdeniz University, where the first face transplant in Turkey was performed. Despite her young age, Buse underwent a series of operations there. The Kamalı family continued to knock on the doors of expert doctors in the field.

49 SURGERIES IN 20 YEARS

Father İlhan Kamalı, his housewife wife Akile Kamalı, and their older daughters continued their struggle tirelessly to give Buse a new life. Buse Kamalı, who underwent skin grafts, ear, and nose surgeries at various hospitals in Turkey, had to wait for her to grow older for some of the more difficult surgeries. As she grew older, the difficulty level of the surgeries increased. However, Buse and her family did not give up. Buse has had a total of 49 surgeries over the past 20 years.
