New update on Ahmet Mekin's health status

Ahmet Mekin, one of the prominent figures of Turkish cinema, collided with a child while walking in the Ocaklar neighborhood of Erdek, Balıkesir. Mekin, who fell to the ground due to the impact, suffered a broken hip and was immediately taken to Bandırma State Hospital. It was announced that his health condition is good following the surgery performed there.
Providing information about the artist's health status on social media, Ali Eyüboğlu stated, "Master artist Ahmet Mekin, who fell and injured his hip after being hit by a running child yesterday, underwent surgery this morning. The 93-year-old artist's surgery at Bandırma State Hospital was performed by Associate Professor and Orthopedist Mustafa Kemal Akça. The surgery, performed using the epidural method, lasted 45 minutes. I wish a speedy recovery to Ahmet Abi, who smiled for the cameras with the doctor and nurse who performed the surgery."
AHMET MEKIN'S ARTISTIC CAREER
One of the living legends of Turkish cinema, Ahmet Mekin, born Ahmet Kurteli, was born on August 17, 1932, in Istanbul. He took his first steps into theater and cinema acting by appearing on stage at the Bakırköy Community Center. He began his cinema career in 1957 with the film Mahşere Kadar. While occasionally returning to the theater, he appeared in approximately 200 films. He received great acclaim, especially for his performances in character roles.
Important productions in which Ahmet Mekin took part include Aşktan da Üstün (1961) directed by Osman F. Seden, Kelebekler Çift Uçar (1964) by Tarık Dursun, Gurbet Kuşları (1964) and Bir Türk’e Gönül Verdim (1969) by Halit Refiğ, Düğün (1973) by Lütfi Ö. Akad, the cult film Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım (1978) by Atıf Yılmaz, as well as Seni Kalbime Gömdüm (1982) and Kuyucaklı Yusuf (1985) by Feyzi Tuna.
In 1969, Mekin appeared on stage in Güngör Dilmen's play İttihat ve Terakki, and in 1972, he portrayed the famous comic book hero of Turhan Selçuk in the play Abdülcanbaz, which was staged at the Dostlar Theater.
Appearing before audiences in television series starting from the 1980s, Mekin took part in many productions such as Geçmiş Zaman Elbiseleri, Bir Yürek Satıldı, Bağrıyanık Ömer ile Güzel Zeynep, Bir Adam Yaratmak, Denizin Kanı, Bugünün Saraylısı, Tatar Ramazan, and Not Defteri.
