Nilgün Belgün catches swine flu: 'It happened because I didn't wear a mask on the plane'
Television, film, and theater actress Nilgün Belgün, who has caught swine flu, spoke to 12punto about her health and illness. Belgün said, "I flew to Denizli for the tour of my play. I caught swine flu because I didn't wear a mask on the plane. Now I am confined to my home."

Veteran actress Nilgün Belgün, who has been performing in the theater plays 'Kalpten Kalbe' (From Heart to Heart) and 'Aşk ve Komedi' (Love and Comedy) for many years, has been battling swine flu for some time.
Belgün, who is resting at home on her doctor's advice, explained how she caught the illness.
'I'M NOT BEDRIDDEN, BUT...'
The artist expressed her distress, saying, "I flew to Denizli for the tour of my play 'Aşk ve Komedi'. I caught swine flu because I didn't wear a mask on the plane. I'm not bedridden, but I am confined to my home."
Emphasizing that she pays attention to her health during the winter months, Belgün stated, "I had even cut off human contact for a while to avoid getting sick. But in the end, the eye that is protected is the one that gets poked."
'EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE CAREFUL'
Sharing what her doctors told her, the artist said, "There is a serious outbreak of Covid-19 cases and swine flu in Turkey right now. Everyone needs to be very careful."
Nilgün Belgün added that she will meet with theatergoers on January 7, 2024, at the Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Cultural Center in the Menteşe district of Muğla with her play 'Aşk ve Komedi'.
