Özge Ulusoy breaks silence on 'fraud' allegations

The atmosphere became tense at the International Quality Awards ceremony, held at a hotel in Gayrettepe, Istanbul, and attended by many figures from the business world, when Lokman İn, the founder of Bowax Turkey, took the stage to receive the Reliable Entrepreneur award.

Taking the microphone on stage, Lokman İn claimed that model Özge Ulusoy, with whom they had previously reached an agreement for a project, had failed to fulfill her contractual obligations.

"DOES BEING FAMOUS GIVE HER THE RIGHT TO DEFRAUD?"

Continuing his remarks, İn stated the following:

"She came to the opening, took the money, but did not make the post. I call her on the phone, she doesn't answer. They are turning up the music on stage so our voices aren't heard. Being famous doesn't mean she can defraud everyone. She runs away when she sees me. She needs to earn the money she took. In 19 years of business life, you encounter ups and downs with many different people. There was a lady host here until I came on stage. It was a coincidence, I learned it when I arrived. So what, does being famous give her the right to defraud? Does running away solve it?"

"ALL LEGAL PROCESSES HAVE BEEN INITIATED" 

Following the circulation of the footage, a statement came from Özge Ulusoy's side. 

The statement made by Ulusoy's lawyer included the following: 

"Our client, Ms. Özge Ulusoy, is an actress, model, and presenter who has been closely known by the public for over 20 years, garnering appreciation for her successes and standing out for her reputation. Due to the baseless statements appearing on social media and various digital platforms in recent days, it has become necessary to inform the public correctly."

"The recent events have been staged with the aim of increasing the social media visibility of the relevant individual or company, creating a sensation in the public eye, and gaining commercial promotion by using our client's name and reputation, and the sensitivities of society and our client's recognition have been exploited in bad faith."

"Such statements not only constitute a severe attack on our client's personal rights but must also be evaluated as an unlawful and unfair method of commercial competition."

"Our client, who has been subjected to such baseless and targeted allegations for the first time in her professional life of over 20 years, has initiated all legal processes, including criminal and civil law remedies, to protect her personal rights, honor, and reputation. Our legal struggle against these statements, which constitute character assassination, will be continued decisively in every venue."
