Portico Quartet, which formed after the group members met at university in London and became roommates, will take the stage at the venue called Blind on the night of Tuesday, April 30.
The group, consisting of Duncan Bellamy (drums, hang drum), Milo Fitzpatrick (double bass and electronics), Jack Wylie (tenor and soprano saxophone), and Nick Mulvey (keyboards, hang drum), will perform songs from their latest album, Monument.
Portico Quartet was selected as the album of the year in the 'Jazz, Folk and World Music' category by Time Out magazine in 2007, the same year they released "Knee-Deep in the North Sea," and was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.
