Premiere of the film 'Nefes-Yer Eksi İki' held

The premiere of the film 'Nefes-Yer Eksi İki', held in Istanbul, was attended by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, TRT Deputy Director General Muhammed Ziyad Varol, the film's cast and crew, and guests.

Varol told members of the press that he was happy that the film, which had been in preparation for a long time, was finally meeting its audience.

Stating that the film is their penultimate production to be released before the end of the year, Varol said, "Turkey is a country that has overcome very significant crises regarding terrorism, has gone through great trials, has unfortunately lost many of its children as martyrs, and at the same time has passed through many important events over the years, leaving behind many veterans and martyrs, but has never forgotten them."

'HE PENNED HIS MEMORIES'

Murat Yıldırım, who plays the character of Captain Tayfun in the film, said that first and foremost, they tried to bring the reality of Turkey to the cinema screen.

Noting that the film's screenplay was adapted from a book written by Hakan Evrensel in 2005, Yıldırım said, "He wrote a novel, he penned what he experienced there, his memories. He says, 'I am a memory thief.' He is a very sweet person, a soldier brother of ours who served there and fought for us."

WHAT IS THE PLOT OF THE FILM NEFES-YER EKSİ İKİ

Produced by Mustafa Cihat Durmuş and with a screenplay by Hakan Evrensel, the TRT co-production "Nefes-Yer Eksi İki" is directed by Ozan Uzunoğlu.

The film, which focuses on lives that intersected in 1993 under the difficult and harsh conditions of the Southeastern Anatolia Region, features a cast including Murat Yıldırım, İlker Aksum, Şahin Kendirci, Arda Anarat, Eren Hacısalihoğlu, Yasin Çam, Begüm Akkaya, Rıdvan Aybars Düzey, Cezmi Baskın, Doğanay Ünal, Emrah Doğan, Eyüp Kan, Bestemsu Özdemir, Burak Sergen, Erdal Cindoruk, and Bulut Akkale.

Set at an outpost at an altitude of 2000 meters and bearing traces of many real heroes who served in the region, the production tells the story of honorable Turkish soldiers who did not abandon their duty for even a moment, no matter the cost.
