Speaking at the ceremony, Erdoğan said, "Distinguished representatives of our culture and arts world, esteemed guests, I greet you with my most heartfelt feelings. Welcome to the Presidential Complex.
I am pleased to be with you on the occasion of the Culture and Arts Awards. I wholeheartedly congratulate our artists who have been deemed worthy of the award," he stated.

Erdoğan presented the Music Award to master artist Emel Sayın with the following words:
"The recipient of the music award is Emel Sayın, who has a place in our memories. The lady who has kept Turkish classical music alive in our hearts for half a century continues to strike a chord in our hearts."
