Prices at the fish restaurant visited by Rahmi Koç raise eyebrows

The price list of the fish restaurant where Koç Holding Honorary Chairman Rahmi Koç dined with his grandchildren has sparked debate. It was observed that the cheapest fish at the establishment is 1,500 TL.

Koç Holding Honorary Chairman Mustafa Rahmi Koç visited a famous fish restaurant in Istanbul with his family last week.

Koç dined at the restaurant with his son Mustafa Koç's daughters, Esra Koç and Aylin Koç, and Ali Koç's children, Leyla Sadberk Koç and Kerim Rahmi Koç.

"ISTANBUL'S MOST EXPENSIVE FISH RESTAURANT"

Following the visit, the prices on the menu at Balıkçı Kahraman drew public attention. It was noted that prices at the establishment, known as "Istanbul's most expensive fish restaurant," are quite high.

While a single bonito (palamut) is offered for sale at 4,000 TL on the menu, the prices of other items also stood out.

Some of the prices on the establishment's menu are as follows:

  • Turbot Tandır (per kilogram): 8,000 TL
  • Bluefish (per piece): 3,000 TL
  • Young Bluefish/Sarıkanat (per piece): 1,500 TL
  • Bonito (per piece): 4,000 TL
  • Striped Red Mullet (per portion): 3,000 TL
  • Anchovy (per portion): 2,000 TL
  • Whiting (per portion): 2,500 TL
  • Scorpion Fish (per portion): 4,000 TL
  • Sardine (per portion): 2,000 TL
  • Horse Mackerel (per portion): 2,000 TL
  • Sea Bass (per kilogram): 6,000 TL
  • Sea Bass (per piece): 2,500 TL
  • Tub Gurnard (per kilogram): 6,000 TL

The menu also included information on additional charges. The establishment's statement read, "Bread, water, and cornbread are charged at 200 TL per person. A 10 percent service fee is added to every bill."
